3M™ TufQuin™ TFT inorganic hybrid insulating paper laminate is a 3-ply composite of 3M TufQuin Hybrid Insulating Paper bonded to both sides of polyester film for high-temperature electrical insulation applications up to Class 200(N). - 3M TufQuin™ TFT 3-Ply, hybrid inorganic insulating paper, roll configuration, 30 kV dielectric strength, 40% (MD), 158% (XD) elongation, 200 °C temperature rating, 455 N/cm (MD), 581 N/cm (XD) tensile strength.
Features
- TFT laminates are flexible, conformable materials with high tensile strength, excellent tear resistance, and low moisture absorption
- The inorganic content in the TufQuin paper offers high thermal conductivity, long-term voltage endurance, and resistance to partial discharge (corona) that helps TFT laminates withstand damage from voltage spikes, the polyester film reinforcement provides stiffness, high mechanical strength, and resistance to tear
- TFT laminates are compatible with commonly used impregnating varnishes and resins, and are easily impregnated, further enhancing thermal conductivity and coil bonding characteristics
