3M 1218 polyimide film tapes are specially designed for high temperature applications requiring a thin puncture-resistant backing. The physical and electrical properties of polyimide remain stable when used in such applications as coils, harnesses and capacitors, that are subjected to extreme temperatures. - 3M 1218 tape is a 1 Mil polyimide backing with acrylic adhesive. It is designed for high temperature applications, in which a solvent resistant backing is required, used on coils, capacitors and wire harnesses.
