It features a thick .090 (2.28 mm) closed-cell acrylic foam core that delivers strength and conformability on contoured surfaces. A high performance plasticizer-resistant acrylic adhesive is applied to both sides, and delivers high peel and shear adhesion. - 3M tape 06394 is OEM approved for the most demanding trim attachment applications where bonding surface contours may be poorly matched and/or a thick foam is required. Its thick, gray, high strength core offers unique viscoelastic properties that allow it to elongate and relax when put under load, thereby minimizing stress at the adhesive bond line.
