In the early 1800's the file was the essential sharpening tool in all shops and farms, and in 1864, the equipment to successfully manufacture machine-made files was designed and patented. Today, 150 years later, Nicholson® is a product line including files, rasps, hacksaws, and handsaws, used by a variety of tradesmen in a wide range of applications.
